The Big Burnley Breakout 2025 has proven to be a phenomenal success, raising vital funds for charity while putting participants to the ultimate test! Organised by Burnley FC in the Community and hosted at Burnley Police Station, the event saw a group of fundraisers voluntarily spending time behind bars – all in the name of a good cause.
Pete’s Time in the Cells Raises Over £550!
Among the many brave fundraisers was our very own Pete, who willingly swapped his daily routine for a stint in the cells. Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, and supporters, Pete personally raised an impressive £740 in donations.
This incredible total contributed to the overall fundraising efforts, which have now smashed over £40,000 across the two-day event – and the donations are still rolling in! Over £33,000 was raised collectively by the ‘inmates’, with a further £7000 coming from gift-aid donations.
